About the “Evidence for Christ Jesus” project.

Our mission

We’re here to document and teach the historical life of Jesus. We bring Biblical and extra‑Biblical evidence together in one place—clear, careful, and accessible—so anyone can examine the sources for themselves.

Why we exist

We’re an educational project. Accuracy, transparency, and accessibility guide our work. We create resources that help readers and viewers engage primary sources alongside responsible historical context.

How our approach works

  1. **We separate lenses.**
We distinguish between theological interpretation and historical description. When questions touch both, we label them and offer references for further study.
  2. **Primary sources first.**
We foreground the four canonical Gospels (presented in the Geneva Bible, a public‑domain English translation) and place them in conversation with extra‑Biblical witnesses (Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, early Christian writings, and relevant archaeology).
  3.  **We weigh evidence.**
For each source we note provenance, approximate date, genre, transmission history, and major scholarly debates. If a point is disputed or uncertain, we say so plainly.
  4.  **Editorial transparency.**
Public‑domain texts are reproduced faithfully. Any modernization (spelling, punctuation) is identified. Our original commentary, footnotes, maps, and diagrams are © JesusProof.org and visually distinguished from the source texts.
  5.  **Citations you can follow.**
Non‑obvious claims are cited with precise book/chapter/verse or section/line numbers and, when possible, stable identifiers.
  6. **Advisory review.**
Qualified reviewers help us check balance and accuracy. Substantive corrections are logged publicly.
  7.  **Accessibility by design.**
Every video includes captions and a transcript. Our website uses readable typography, high contrast, and mobile‑friendly layouts.
  8. **Open where we can.**
Our original content is released under **CC BY-NC 4.0** unless otherwise noted. Third‑party materials carry their own licenses and credit lines.
